July 23, 1950

Dear Sir:

My Ouija board which was manufactured by your company has been behaving strangely lately.

My brother and I have been the only two persons in the family who have been able to make it work. It was working fine answering all our questions etc; when we asked it a test question to test its truthfulness. It gave us the wrong answer and when I asked the Ouija board why it gave us the wrong answer, it went in circles and then spelled out, “I give up, Lance.” It has refused to answer my questions since then. Now all it does after we ask it a questions is to move in circles and then go to goodbye. Since you manufacture Ouija boards I thought you might know of some explanation for this conduct and what can be done about it. I would like to get it working again.
